KOR’s leadership combines clinical, educational, operational, and community experience with a deep commitment to Afghanistan.

KOR’s team manages complex programs in capacity building, drug and HIV/AIDS awareness, books and publications, treatment services, and education. Project teams across multiple provinces add local knowledge and delivery capacity.

Dr. Mohammad Farid Bazger

Founder & Executive Committee Member

Dr. Mohammad Farid Bazger

Dr. Bazger founded KOR in 1992. His career spans journalism, health education, project management, HIV/AIDS programming, publications, and nearly 15 years managing health initiatives with ORA International. He also served as chief editor of Salamati Health magazine from 2000 to 2008.

Dr. Farida Bazger

Dr. Farida Bazger

A medical doctor, International Certified Addiction Professional, and certified master trainer in prevention and treatment. Dr. Farida Bazger brings extensive experience in children’s, family, and community health and in adapting standards of care for Afghanistan’s diverse cultural contexts.

Wahida Ahmadi

Finance Manager

Wahida Ahmadi

A Kardan University BBA graduate with certifications in project management, accounting, and finance. Ms. Ahmadi leads KOR’s finance department and has served the organization since 2006.

Sibghatullah Malakzai

Deputy Director

Sibghatullah Malakzai

Mr. Malakzai oversees human resources and logistics and coordinates closely across KOR departments. He joined KOR in 2006, progressing from deputy project coordinator to HR leadership and deputy director.
